A problem with the output speed sensor on the vehicle’s transmission lead frame could cause the transmission controls to force a temporary downshift into 1st gear.
Webon february 08, 2024, ford’s critical concern review group (ccrg) opened an investigation into an increasing number of reports related to unexpected transmission.
In some of the affected vehicles, it is possible that an improper output signal from the transmission range sensor (trs), which is part of the transmission lead.
